The short version: Altern8 AI is a private on-premise AI platform. When you deploy Altern8, your data stays on your own server. We do not process, store, or access your enterprise data. This policy covers only the data we collect when you interact with this website and our sales process.

1. Who we are

Altern8 AI is a product of piBits AI, based in India. We build private enterprise AI intranet software. Our contact email is [email protected].

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to respond to your deployment request:

Contact form submissions — your name, work email, company name, industry, and deployment requirement description
Email correspondence — emails you send us at [email protected]
Website analytics — anonymous page view data (no personally identifiable information)

We do not collect cookies beyond what is strictly necessary. We do not track you across the web. We do not use advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts.

3. What we do not collect

Because Altern8 runs on your infrastructure:

We do not receive, process, or store any data you enter into your deployed Altern8 instance
We do not have access to your documents, queries, or AI responses
We do not receive telemetry or usage data from your deployment unless you explicitly share it with us for support purposes
We do not collect payment data — payments are processed by Razorpay under their privacy policy

4. How we use your data

We use your contact form data solely to:

Respond to your deployment enquiry within 24 hours
Prepare a deployment plan tailored to your infrastructure
Send you relevant product updates if you have opted in

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

5. Third parties we use

EmailJS — used to route contact form submissions to our inbox. EmailJS processes your form data in transit. Their privacy policy is at emailjs.com/legal/privacy-policy
Cloudflare — hosts this website. Cloudflare processes page request data as part of their CDN service. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

6. Data retention

We retain contact form submissions for 12 months, after which they are deleted. You may request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].

7. Your rights under DPDP Act 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate personal data
Request erasure of your personal data
Withdraw consent for processing

If you are in the European Union, you also have rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard security practices for data we hold. Contact form data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in encrypted email. We do not store form data in any database on our end.

9. Children

Altern8 AI is an enterprise product intended for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as our practices change. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
